This heavy-duty truck effortlessly balances power and refinement and features a standard 6.6L V8 gas engine, but is available in a 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel V8. It also boasts high towing and payload capacities along with a refreshed interior. The truck is built on a high-strength steel frame and boasts several cab and bed configurations, including the new for this year, the off-road-focused ZR2 trim.
While the specifics of the interior will vary by trim package, all feature an impressive dashboard with easy-to-use switchgear and a spacious center console bin. It comes in a longer wheelbase than previous generations, which means that there is more passenger space. Rear-seat passengers even have their own dedicated climate vents and controls.

All models of the 2026 Chevy Silverado 3500 HD come with a touchscreen that supports Chevy's Google-based infotainment interface and boasts smartphone integration. Upper trim packages include a 13.4-inch touchscreen and feature a wireless smartphone charging pad. In addition, this iteration of the Silverado comes with several trailer-assist features that make towing easier. This includes a multiview camera system with a transparent mode that makes merging onto the highway and maneuvering in parking lots easier.
While this particular version of the Silverado is too new to have earned major automotive awards, the previous year’s Silverado HD lineup did earn several awards. For example, J.D. Power gave the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD the 2025 Canada ALG Residual Value Award. This year's model is expected to perform just as well, if not better.
